Sylvan Lake is a town located in central Alberta, Canada. It is about 25 km west of the city of Red Deer and can be accessed via Highways 11 or 11A. The town is located near the southeast edge of a 15 km long freshwater lake called Sylvan Lake, which is located between Red Deer County and Lacombe County. The lake is a popular tourist destination, attracting around 1 million visitors each year. Sunbathing, swimming, water skiing, and visiting Camp Woods are among the tourist activities available at the lake. The 12th Canadian Scout Jamboree took place at Camp Woods in Sylvan Lake in July 2013.

According to the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the population of the Town of Sylvan Lake was 15,995, living in 6,396 of the town's 7,141 total private dwellings. This represents a change of 8% from the town's population of 14,816 in 2016. In 2021 the town had a land area of 23.09 km2 and a population density of 692.7/km2.
