Company Description

Located in the heart of Edmonton’s historic Old Strathcona district, the Varscona Theatre is one of Edmonton’s busiest and most accessible theatre spaces. Operating year round, we are home to Shadow Theatre, Teatro la Quindicina, Die-Nasty The Live Improvised Soap Opera, Bright Young Things, and The Plain Janes. We are also key venue for the Edmonton Fringe Festival in August.
Each year we provide the City of Edmonton with at least 300 cultural performances, playing to over 28,000 patrons. Together, our resident companies employ over 100 professional artists annually.
