The County of Stettler No. 6 encircles the Canadian town of Stettler, which is located in east-central Alberta. The town is known as "The Heart of Alberta".

In 2021, the Town of Stettler had a population of 5,695, living in 2,384 out of its 2,574 total private dwellings, representing a decrease of 4.3% from the population of 5,952 recorded in the 2016 Census conducted by Statistics Canada. The town had a land area of 13.19 km2 (5.09 sq mi) and a population density of 431.8/km2 (1,118.3/sq mi) in 2021.
In the previous census in 2016, the population of the Town of Stettler was 5,952, living in 2,415 out of 2,607 total private dwellings, representing an increase of 3.5% from its population of 5,748 in 2011. The town had a land area of 13.14 km2 (5.07 sq mi) and a population density of 453.0/km2 (1,173.2/sq mi) in 2016.
